PISPWV 2019 Annual Investigation & Security Conference

PISPWV invites anyone interested in the investigation or security profession to attend this seminar.  Members of other state associations will be given the PISPWV member rate for the seminar.  So if you're interested in the profession, work as an investigator or any part of the legal system, this conference will surely benefit you.  If you are interested in becoming an investigator, this will be a good start in helping you make that decision.

Brandon Perron, CCDI, CFI-FTER, National Director of the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council will be presenting a Fast Track 1 day training course.  The Fast Track training will summarize the CDITC 2 day Component Method of Criminal Defense Investigation & Case Management program. The program sets the standard for best practices relative to criminal  defense investigation and is recognized and utilized by public defender and private sector criminal defense investigators across the nation.

Mac Warner is the current Secretary of State for the State of WV and a champion of the private investigation profession.  Mr. Warner graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point and holds a law degree from WVU.  After gradating, Mr. Warner served in the Army Judge Advocate General Corps until he retired.  He currently resides in Morgantown and is the proud father of 4 children who've followed in his footsteps as former or current US Army officers

Michael Miranda is a retired Trooper serving over 28 years in the Colorado State Patrol and attained ACTAR accreditation in 2000. After retirement, he was a Criminal  Investigator for the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office and was  assigned as the Lead Investigator for the Vehicular Homicide Response  Team. Michael is a Colorado Licensed Private Investigator.

Chris Signorelli is the President of Security America in Charleston, WV and is an active member of ASIS International, dedicating his time to enrich the security profession across the state.

Catherine Smit-Torrez is the owner of Stiletto Spy & Company Investigations in Fort Worth, TX.  After serving as a Police Officer for over 20 years, rising in the ranks from Patrol Officer to Chief of Police in various agencies, Catherine now uses her skills and training to educate both LEOs and Private Investigators about Crimes against children and Juvenile crimes.

Patrick Kearn served honorably as one of the "Few and the Proud" in the U.S. Marines and graduated from Wheeling Jesuit College with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice.  Patrick worked as a mail handler and WV labor representative for the Mail Handler's Labor Union.  He was worked as a  Criminal Investigator for the United States Courts/Federal Public Defender's Office since 1990 and has served as a death penalty investigator for the last two cases presented before the Southern District Court of WV before it was abolished in WV.  Patrick has been married for 34 years and is the proud father of two children.

Larry Peters is a lifelong West Virginian originally from Hampshire Court.  He has been a civil and criminal investigator since 1961.  Larry is an expert in Handwriting Comparison in several state and federal courts.  His evidence has been used in the United States Supreme Court to overturn a kidnapping case.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army for 7 1/2 years as a Military Police Officer, Criminal Investigator and worked as a personal bodyguard for one of the Army's Brigadier Generals.  Larry has created the "Handwriting /Comparison" program debunking the myth that Handwriting Analysis is the same as Graphology.

Kelly Riddle is the President of Kelmar Global Investigations with more than 35 years of investigative experience. He has been designated an expert in surveillance, insurance investigations, nursing home abuse and computer investigations. Kelly has or is currently on several Boards of Directors in TX and nationally and is an Advisory Board Member of FAPI.  His law enforcement career included being a SWAT team member, a Training Officer, Evidence Technician and Arson Investigator, Juvenile specialist and Traffic Investigator.  Kelly is the Founder and President of the PI Institute of Education and the Association of Christian Investigators  with members in the U.S. and 19 other countries.

Isaac Forman

Brandon Perron, CCDI, CFI-FTER is an award winning nationally recognized private investigator.  He is a Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator, Certified Forensic Interviewer, and has been qualified as an Expert in criminal investigation".  Mr. Perron has over 34 years of investigative experience serving as a U.S. Air Force Criminal Investigator, State of Florida Public Defender Investigator, civil & human rights investigator, licensed private investigator, training curriculum developer, instructor, author and motivational speaker.  He is recognized as one of the nation's foremost investigators, trainers and speakers in the area of Criminal defense investigation.  Mr. Perron authored the industry acclaimed books Uncovering Reasonable Doubt: The Component Method, Forensic Testimonial Evidence Recovery: the FTER Method - A Forensic Approach to the Interview  as well as a novel The Quest for Truth.
